Preparing Your Account for the Construction Skill
First, you need a “members-only” account to gain access to the construction takeoff and estimating services. Therefore, you need to pay the monthly subscription. Secondly, you need tons of Coins in your account before you start preparing the in-game house. Most noteworthy, you might not get the opportunity to regain all those invested gold pieces.
If you want to skip all that “grind” (repetitive activities) and play as an Old School RuneScape architect, you could Buy OSRS GP. Indeed, when you grab a good bonus, you can focus on your skills and have fun in your gaming sessions.

Complete the Construction Quests
Although not strictly necessary, you could improve your Construction level and gain more features when you complete all the tasks from this skill. Some rewards could reduce the amount of Gold (if you’re starting a new account without resources) or give you building rewards.
If you already have tons of Gold Pieces in your pocket, you could skip this step and focus on placing furniture in your house. Either way, you should complete at least these Recommended Quests:
- Daddy’s Home
- The Eyes of Glouphrie
- Dragon Slayer II
- Lunar Diplomacy
Tools and Materials
All the elements from the Construction Skill require a different set of items before you can build new furniture. For example, you might need a Hammer, Saw, Nails, Metal Bars, Planks, Limestones, or Clay.
Luckily, you can buy all the materials within the in-game stores or from other players. Furthermore, you can Buy OSRS Accounts with extra features and make things a lot easier from the start.
Beginning Construction
Once you gain access to the Player’s House Portal, you will teleport to your future house. Inside this virtual place, you will see a place already built (walls), but seemingly empty. At first, you will have limited rooms where you can change things up. Once you start getting more levels, you will unlock different parts of the house.
When you move to an unlocked room, you will see “invisible” furniture around the place. After you click on those transparent spots, you will see the amount of materials needed to complete a new furniture. If you have enough items, your character will make a “hammering” animation, and the new element will appear in the next few seconds.
If you want to gain experience faster, you could “right-click” finished furniture and choose to destroy it and rebuild it. You will need the same materials from the original, but the experience will go higher after each animation stops.
